Wind energy project for school class

Do you have a high school or college class interested in wind energy?
We would like to partner with you to build a large scale model (up to 20 meters long) of a Seimens wind turbine blade out of recycled materials for display at the Green Fair in Evanston. Engineering and design help available if needed.
A tour of the Seimens wind turbine blade plant in Ft. Madison, Iowa could also be arranged.
Contact jim@custerfair.com.

  1. The project went forward at Nichols Middle School in Evanston. Megan McDermott and three 8th grade science classes have played and labored on building a 30 ft. long, scale model wind turbine blade from recycled cardboard.
